CAP: 2 to 10mm in diameter.  Bell shaped, pure white with a slightly greyish hue when older, the surface is covered in numerous specialized cells called acanthocysts which gives a frosted, granular appearance. STIPE: Up to 30mm long, white to greyish-hyaline, hirsute and arising from a basal disc. GILLS/PORES: The gills are thin, white, and widely spaced. These gills don't always reach the stipe and are ascending, narrowly adnate or attached to a pseudocollarium. FLESH: Pale and watery with a mild taste. No taste or significant smell. SPORES: Up to 9.7um by 6um, broadly pip-shaped to sub-globose, smooth and amyloid. HABITAT: A saprobe that grows in clusters or singly on dead wood or bark, litter and various debris. SEASON: Very common and can be seen throughout the year. EDIBILITY: Inedible.
